Nordson ASYMTEK's Select Coat® precision surface coating system is designed to provide high quality and high efficiency for automated coating processes. The SL-940E can be used for high-volume, in-line production, or specially customized configurations. Multiple dispensing systems and coating heads increase flexibility in the range of applicable materials. Specially designed to meet today's needs, the system can also adapt to future requirements. The SL-940E utilizes dual or triple mounts to handle up to three independently controlled valves, including film coating heads, three-mode coating heads, and droplet coating heads.

Process parameters are recorded and tracked by Easy Coat® software. Fluid and air pressure are set and monitored by electronically controlled regulators managed by the software. A complete process history for these critical parameters can be saved in log files. Whether offline or on the Select Coat system, completing your coating program is straightforward. Offline programming allows you to program in the office without stopping production, then easily import the completed program to the production line.

Parameters for various coating processes can be monitored for statistical process control, including Nordson ASYMTEK's optional fan width control, viscosity control system, barcode system, flow monitoring, and vision system. These processes are automatically monitored within set limits, and process status is recorded for tracking. This information can be exchanged with custom factory information systems (FIS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) to ensure factory production processes.

The selective surface coater incorporates multiple concurrent design aspects to ensure compliance with Lower Flammability Limit (LFL) standards, avoiding entry into ATEX-regulated environments. The Select Coat design also includes a special downward vent, providing an effective pathway for VOC removal.

The surface coating system has been independently tested and certified to comply with relevant safety standards, including CE and SEMI.
